Paddles Up Broncos

There’s a reason why The Fiesta Bowl is one of Paddles Up most ordered menu items. Boise State University and Paddles Up go hand in hand. From the students who work in the shop, to the owners who run it, Paddles Up is driven by blue and orange.

As an official partner both of Boise State and the Idaho Steelheads, Paddles Up is an integrated part of the Boise community. Owner, Dan Landucci, has a close connection to the City of Trees. The recent graduate of Boise State tries to incorporate his alma mater into many aspects of his business. One of the most important parts of the business, his employees, are an example of his support for the university.

Aiming to hire mostly Boise State students, employees of Paddles Up learn to integrate their degrees into the business and see first hand what they are learning in the classroom. From marketing and finance, to public relations, Dan lets his student employees gain real life experience in the workplace. Employees are encouraged to write blogs for the Paddles Up website, contribute to social media and marketing ideas, and even have opportunities to get first hand experience dealing with the accounting and finance side of the business.  As a marketing student myself, being able to apply what I’m learning in the classroom by helping Paddles Up reach new target markets through social media and other outlets definitely has enhanced my Boise State academic experience with real world application.

When you support Paddles Up, you support blue and orange.
