The Paddles Up Family

Dan and Laura Landucci are Boise State Alumni, who have lived and worked in the Boise community for the past decade. They are outdoor enthusiasts, who are always seeking new adventures in the Treasure Valley and surrounding wilderness. They live in Boise with their three children, and rescue dog Posey.

The phrase Paddles Up has been a life motto for the Landucci family that they learned through their love of white-water rafting. When you’re rafting, putting your paddles up signifies getting into attack mode when approaching rapids.

In August 2016, Dan decided to put his paddles up and attack his lifelong dream of owning a restaurant. Working downtown after college, he knew the downtown Boise market because he was the market. He was the employee quickly walking the streets on his short lunch break in search of something that would fill him up for the next few hours at work, but also fuel his body with healthy ingredients. He knew this was a need that had to be met, and combining it with his love of food and talent as a chef has proved to be a successful business venture. His drive has earned Paddles Up numerous “Best of Boise” awards each year since its opening, and most recently, Dan was voted the “2019 Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Boise Young Professionals organization and “Accomplished Under 40” by the Idaho Business Review.

We thank you for your continued support of this business and our family, and we hope that you enjoy this concept as much as we have enjoyed creating it. Thank you for supporting our dream and making it a reality.

All made possible by the grace of God.
